The past week has been quite exciting for Lilly! With the holidays quickly approaching all preparations are underway! That means new and exciting experiences for Lilly as this is only her second Christmas with me and her first Christmas with a full Christmas tree! She was highly curious about the large pseudo-plant being built in the living room… she didn’t even seem to mind that it was fake!

Lilly loves the tree as well as the lights! Especially the ones that cast colored orbs of light all over the room. It reminds her of the laser toy she loves to chase around the house. We had to take some precautions to ensure that she didn’t get too excited and knock the tree or lights down! This didn’t stop her from knocking the dog ornament off the tree… quite a calculated occurrence. Anyone think she is trying to send a message?

All and all, we have had a very exciting week! And of course, no celebration would be complete without the ritual dressing up of the cat. No other activity is as loved by humans and as despised by cats as this! But we humans just can’t help ourselves… and for our best friends who are queens and kings every other day of the year, a couple minutes of dress up to encourage us is a small price to pay.
