This week promises to be an active one for Ms. Lilly. She may be experiencing a little bit of "overabundance" when it comes to attention. This weekend there were two "intruders" in the apartment and once they finally left, another one entered. This "intruder" is none other than my sister, the mother to her cousin's Vincent and Speedy. Even though her Aunt is here, Lilly is still preoccupied with the everyday occurrences. She is most concerned with maintaining her dinner repertoire.
Dinner is served every night at precisely 5 pm. There are no ifs, ands, or buts about this. Usually around 3:30 pm, the chaos begins.
First comes the "I will stare you down until you feed me" look.

When this look fails, then we move on to the "I am going to eat anything in this can unless you feed me now" look.

By this point Lilly starts to get pretty upset. She doesn't understand why you continue to ignore her even though she is clearly standing there waiting on her food. So she sticks her tongue out at you and dares you to say something about it.

Now it is time for drastic measures. This includes all levels of drama from yelling and screaming like she hasn't been fed in months to pretending like she has passed out due to hunger pains.

At some point she usually gets to the points where dramatics are no longer worth it... although she will continue to death stare you and insist that any attempt to play will not appease her.

The journey up until 5 o'clock isn't without it's difficulties, but in the end it is all worth it as you are almost instantaneously forgiven as soon as the kibbles hit the bowl.
Happy Monday everyone! Have a good night!
