OKAY! Hold the phone!

The NERVE! And to THINK that earlier I thought that mom was being super nice just because she loved me!

I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN! I know I've been all for this BLOG conference thing... but that was before I found out that I WASN'T GOING!

WHO does mom think she is?! Going to the blog conference WITHOUT me?! How will I blog about the blog conference if I am NOT THERE!

The nerve...

It all started this evening. She was trotting around the house happily, dancing to the music with me as she exclaimed over and over that she was too excited to sleep. I thought she was taking it a little far... but who was I to judge? I mean, a blog conference is pretty exciting... and a PET blog conference... AMAZING! So I played along and encouraged her erratic behavior.

She pulled out the travel bag and started packing it up. Once the suitcase started to get full I started to worry. There were no toys in there. There was no travel kibble. Not even a travel blanket! But I calmed myself down, insisting that she probably was just going to pack my stuff separately. She would probably put some of it in my space pod (that is what I call my carrier).

She closed the suitcase and zipped it up. She didn't go on to pack my stuff... but I thought perhaps she was just tired and was waiting until tomorrow.

Then it happened... she served me up a glass of cold water... which I heartily enjoyed...

until she started having the talk with me...

"Lilly, I know that you really want to go to the blog conference... but it is very very far away. I know how you cry when we just take a short car ride. This would be 8 hours of driving. I don't think you are quite ready for that. So the boy human is going to stay with you and keep you company."

***SCREECH HALT***

WHAT?!

She tried to have more talks with me... but I wasn't having it.

I am now in the process of giving her the silent treatment...
